I love this little treat after my lunch or dinner.

The agave syrup is very low in glucose and therefore does not raise the level of my blood sugar, so I don't get the standard craving for additional sweets.

I've found it a great way to “close my meal”, ie. to let my tummy know that I now have to stop eating salty food, while letting me know that I have one little treat left before I have to stop eating 😀

A trick that’s worked brilliantly for me, when I've wanted to lose weight and can’t eat as much as I'm used to.

Ending my meal with a “Bite of Heaven” and a nice cup of tea sort of “rounds off” my appetite.

INGREDIENTS

  • Coconut oil 1 tablespoon (topped up)
  • Almonds 4 dl
  • Desiccated coconut 5 dl
  • Glutenfree rolled oats 5 dl
  • Cinnamon 2 tablespoons (topped up)
  • Salt 3 teaspoons
  • Agave syrup 2,5 dl

HOW TO

Melt 1 tablespoon of coconut oil on a large pan.

Chop 4 dl of almonds and roast them in the oil for a few minutes.

Add 5 dl of desiccated coconut, 5 dl rolled oats, 2 tablespoons of cinnamon (topped up) and 3 teaspoons of salt.

Roast the mix for approximately 10 minutes until you can smell the coconut in the room and then add the 2,5 dl of agave syrup.

Roast for additional 5 minutes.

Now add the mix to some sort of silicone tin - I use the SF119 cylinders from Silikomart.
